The Foundation for Shared Impact (FSI) is proud to launch our new initiative, GuideFong(街坊): Stories of Resilience. We are looking for highly-motivated youth storytellers to venture into the vibrant streets of neighborhoods around Hong Kong to uncover tales of traditional craftsmanship, family histories, and community evolution.
Who Should Join Us?
We are looking for:
- Six (6) students aged 18–24 currently enrolled in a post-secondary or tertiary education program in Hong Kong.
- We especially encourage applications from underrepresented or under-resourced backgrounds.

- Create for Impact: Lead a multimedia campaign that promotes empathy, diversity, and a sense of community belonging.

- Grow Your Network: Connect with local community leaders and grassroots businesses across Hong Kong.
- Financial Support: We provide a stipend to ensure the program is accessible to all talented youths.
What Should You Expect?
- Timeline: Cohort 1 runs from March – July 2026. Cohort 2 (second half of 2026) will be recruited near July.
- Commitment: Approximately 5 hours of hybrid work per week, totaling 80 hours over four months. This includes mandatory in-person workshops (2-3 hours on some weekends), team meetings (weekly online on weekday evenings), independent research, and fieldwork (community outreach).
- The Program Includes: Workshops, community site visit and fieldwork, data collection, and multimedia content creation on local stories for you to gain exposure with Hong Kong based entrepreneurs, social innovators, and other community members.
- What You Can Learn And Apply: Skills in storytelling and journalism, community building, narrative writing, digital marketing, graphic design, photography and film.
- Upon Program Completion, HK$4,000 stipend and a certificate of completion will be provided.
Application
Application will be open from February 24 until March 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for a group video interview.
