TALK is a volunteer peer-led group of women / femme survivors of child sexual abuse and sexual assault. We provide support group meetings and undertake advocacy work on related issues. Our main 2022 project is the completion and publication of a study on childhood sexual abuse in Hong Kong (estimated at 13% of all children) along with insights and gap analysis to help all stakeholders have clearer information for better decision-making.

Uplifters

Uplifters' mission is to empower Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) to make their migration successful. Our signature online programme ‘Prepare for the Future’ enables MDWs to plan their financial goals, manage their money better and increase their mental well-being. Since our inception in 2018, more than 6,000 MDWs have benefited from it including more than 5,000 in the last 2 years (2020 and 2021).

Families of SMA

Families of SMA (FSMA) was established in 1998 to help children afflicted with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). We focus on raising public awareness of SMA, facilitating cooperation with health and research sectors, and providing medical, emotional, and logistical support to SMA patients and families. With such, we hope to relieve the degree of hardship and suffering of individuals afflicted with SMA and their family members.

  • Looking for assistance in development, expansion, and scaling of our “Mercy Medical Management” (MMM) Program which offers medical multidisciplinary team hospital-at-home services to the ventilator-dependent and chronically ill being taken care of at home

Families of SMA was established in 1998 to help children afflicted with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) at a time where this rare disease, the No.1 genetic killer of children under 2, was completely unknown in Hong Kong and sick children were left to let this disease take its course with no help or hope.

Silence serves the deaf and hard of hearing, aiming to inspire and unleash individual talent and harness collective strength. In doing so, we aspire to build a harmonious and barrier-free world. We have developed sign language curriculums and hold classes for educational institutions and companies, provide career and job support, promote a barrier free society, and build skills for deaf individuals.

The Samaritans

The Samaritans is a non-profit, non-religious organisation, that gives confidential emotional support to people, not limited to any demographics or backgrounds, who are suicidal, or in general distress. We have been providing the 24-hour multilingual hotline service since 1974, and have received more than 563,200 phone calls since then. With attentive listening, and giving full respect to one’s feelings, we believe such service could alleviate negative feelings and create a sense of relief.

The service that we provide is called Befriending, where callers would freely express their feelings to a Samaritan volunteer who listens supportively, unconditionally, and non-judgmentally.

PathFinders Limited

PathFinders help ensure that some of Hong Kong's most vulnerable and unsupported children are protected and respected, and their Migrant Domestic Worker mothers empowered to find a path to a brighter future. We recognize the importance of supporting and caring for these women who are an essential part of the Hong Kong society so that their children can have a fair start in life. We are driving this support through our Crisis Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and Systemic Change teams.

  • Supporter engagement: to help us identify key segments within our database and to develop an engagement strategy that is suitable for each segment, while considering different stages of their journeys with us

  • Growing alternative fundraising strategies through building our individual giving program, designing actionable plan to encourage our pull of supporters to conduct online fundraisers, and to set evaluation matrixes for the engagement and fundraising activities.
